Canberra Pentecostal Church has its birth in the mind of few believers who wished to have a Christian prayer fellowship among the Malayalee residents of Canberra. Their earnest prayers and fervent faith and trust in the promises of God were finally answered so graciously and the first service of Canberra Pentecostal Church was graced to be conducted at the Tamil Seniors Association Hall at Issacs, Canberra on 25th April 2010.
Kerala was one of the first states, if not the first, in India to encounter a Pentecostal revival in the early 20th century. As such Keralites have been heavily instrumental in carrying the gospel to the rest of the country. Malayalam worship , language spoken by the Keralites, remains a choice medium of worship and close to the heart of Malayalee.
Malayalam ministry is the founding and currently the core hub of CPC, although it is not something we want to limit ourselves too.
As part of this ministry – these are key prayers and fellowships that are currently being conducted :-
- Malayalam worship – Every Sunday at Bonython Hall – 9:45 am to 12:30 pm.
- Intercessory prayer – Every Wednesday at believers residences – 7:00 – 9:00 pm
- Cottage meeting – Every Friday on roster basis at believers residences 6:45 – 8:30 pm
- Month End Fasting prayer – Last Friday & Saturday of the month – at Bonython Hall – 7:00 – 9:00 pm
- 24Hour Chain prayer – Last Saturday of the month – 12:00am – 12:00pm.
Through these meetings, we aim to grow ourselves and help others grow to the full stature of Christ. At the same time we aim to reach out to other Malayalee’s who have not had the experience of salvation. We use these meetings to join together in :-
- Worshipping the Lord though songs and praises.
- Teach and exhort through the Word of God.
- Intercede for Canberra and the nation of Australia.
- Offer prayers and supplications for others needs.
If there is any way we can pray for you or any of your needs or even study the Bible with you, please reach out to us
